Meet your instructor.
Virginia started keeping a journal at the age of 8—and hasn’t stopped writing since.
Stories in black and white composition notebooks led to reporting for the college newspaper to working as a copywriter at an ad agency. In 2016, she went freelance and returned to her first love: writing fiction. For years, she worked with brands such as TD Bank and Grove Collaborative while scribbling stories between meetings. Now, she shares her love of writing with others through teaching and coaching at The Magic Word.
Virginia has agent representation for her debut novel, After June, and was a finalist for The Jennifer Weiner Fellowship. She is a graduate of The Story Intensive at the Sarah Selecky Writing School.
She lives in Portland, Maine, with her family. She still has her first journal.
